Re-tagging with FAA Form 8130-3

Is it OK to over tag a part with your repair stations 8130-3 when it has been repaired by another repair station that issued an 8130-3 from them, if you did not do the overhaul at your repair station?

ANSWER: No. Re-tagging is not allowed. You can perform a receiving inspection and put a tag on it to say that a receiving inspection has been performed and the release document is on file, but you cannot issue an 8130-3 with your own release to service statement.
